Busselton 70.3 Results and plenty of reasons to be happy this Public Holiday!

Dear Swimmers

Please be advised that despite the Public Holiday this coming Monday 1st June, the following three squad sessions will continue as normal:

  • Saturday 1-2pm (open water skills and frivolity)
  • Monday 7-8am (pure technique and mischief)
  • Monday 9.30-10.30am (pure technique and groovy dance moves)

…so if you're around this weekend, why not pop along for a swim - see you there!

Busselton 70.3 Results, May 2nd 2015:

37 members of the Swim Smooth Perth Squad* took to the ocean, roads and paths around Geographe Bay and produced some absolutely stellar performances (as per the table above) in what were reported to be very chilly conditions! An amazing 35% of the squad scored podium places in their respective age categories, with six 1st place getters: Emily Loughnan, Janine Willis, Janet Ferguson (check our Janet's run time of 1h32m in the 50-54 AG - incredible!), Debra Kempe, the mighty Graham Crocker (with a  sub-30 swim split in the 65-69 AG - unfathomable!), and Shirley Bell - not a bad little day at the office I'd say!

Well done to all of you who competed (including the team category) - I am very proud of you all!

A quick thank you from me:

A quick thank you from me for your multitude of well wishes re the sale of our home…it hasn't happened yet but we have another Home Open tonight (5.45-6.15pm) and Sunday (12-12.45pm) if you know of anyone who might be keen to take a browse through - the details are up at http://www.realestate.com.au/property-townhouse-wa-innaloo-119843445 - now I know why people quote buying and selling property as being one of the most stressful things you can do in life…it's nerve-wracking! All for a good cause though!

Cheers

Paul

*I sincerely hope I didn't miss anyone out here…looking through 1,800 names is no easy task! :-) Please let me know if I missed you out and accept my sincere apologies if so!
